釜石市民ホールは、市民の生活や文化の “ 未来 ” を築く大きな原動力となります。 釜石市に住む人々の日常的な集い・舞台芸術・創作などの 様々な活動を柔軟に引き受ける、可変性のある市民ホールを提案します。 街と連続した文化軸を建物内に引き込むことで、 四季折々の人々の活動が街に賑わいを与え、復興のシンボルとなります。

Kamaishi City Hall is a major driving force for making the future of citizens' lives and culture. We propose a flexible citizen's hall that flexibly undertakes various activities such as daily gatherings, performing arts, and creative activities of people living in Kamaishi. By pulling the cultural axis that is continuous with the city into this new building, the seasonal activities of the people or the bustle of the city will be a symbol of reconstruction.
