千葉県香取市の特別養護老人ホームに付属する小規模保育所。地域に広がる農の風景に連続するような、ささやかな居場所としての小屋をイメージした。光に満ちて風の通る小屋には、この地の暮らしを支える空間として、たとえ用途を変えても持続するであろう可能性を感じている。素朴な小屋を居場所たらしめるものは、大きな庇や土間、障子といった、視界、気積、光の領域を調整する建築のエレメントである。季節や時間の変化を楽しむ小屋である。

Imagine a hut as a small place to stay, connected to the agricultural landscape that spreads over the area. The hut full of light and wind allows the space to support the life of this area, and we feel the possibility that it will last even if the function is changed. What makes the rustic hut a place to stay are architectural elements, such as large eaves, earth floors, and shojis, that adjust the view, air-volume and light. It is a hut where you can enjoy the changing seasons and time.
